Classes begin in Shavasana, yoga’s relaxation pose, with a deeply relaxing guided awareness, followed by Ujjayi Pranayama breathing practice.   In each class the teacher leads you through a series of poses starting with the tailbone and working up the spine through the sacrum, lumbar vertebrae, ribs, neck and shoulders.

In Svaroopa® we use blankets, blocks and chairs for support and hands-on alignment from the teacher to reliably release deep spinal muscles.

Wear loose fitting clothes that allow easy movement and are comfortable to sit in: leotards, leggings, t-shirts, sweatpants, etc. There is no need to bring a mat – we use blankets and provide all needed propping.
